Microfinance

Helping families create an income for life.

Generating income can prove very difficult in South Sudan and poorer parts of Kenya. With a ‘hand-up not a hand-out’ mentality, our microfinance programmes give men and women access to economic opportunities that enables families to grow businesses, create employment, earn money and rebuild lives. Crucially, our microfinance projects are closely linked with local churches to ensure accountability and long-term stability.

The microfinance projects we support work by gathering people together in groups – this structure helps to provide support for members which leads to stronger businesses and communities.

We currently support two microfinance projects:
