Microfinance

Helping families create an income for life.

The ability to generate one’s own income is central to the flourishing of communities but can prove difficult in South Sudan and poorer parts of Kenya. With a ‘hand-up not a hand-out’ mentality, our microfinance programmes give men and women access to economic opportunities that enables families to grow businesses, create employment, generate income and rebuild lives. Crucially our microfinance projects are closely linked with local churches to ensure accountability and long term stability.

The microfinance projects we support work by gathering people together in groups, this structure greatly helps to provide support for members which leads to stronger businesses and communities.

We currently support two microfinance projects
