As you may have heard in the news, Cyclone Idai struck in East Africa earlier this month. Please consider giving to support relief efforts.
The UN says Cyclone Idai is possibly the worst weather-related disaster ever in the southern hemisphere, leaving a trail of devastation through Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe and affecting 2.6 million people. Houses, roads and bridges have been destroyed and agricultural land is completely submerged. More than 750 people are confirmed dead and 400,000 have lost their homes.
AID has connections with Niassa diocese in Mozambique through one of our trustees, Charles Raven, who is a representative for GAFCON (a global Anglican network). Bishop Vicente of Niassa is coordinating relief efforts there and funds given through AID will be used to support this.
