£10,000 appeal MET and Exceeded – Thank you!

Health care students in South Sudan receive medical books donated by doctors in Newcastle upon Tyne, UKLast week we came to you with the below appeal for the ICMDA National Institute of Health Sciences. The fantastic news is that over the weekend the £10,000 target was met and exceeded! This means that the Institute is now secured for the next 7 months, seeing all students through into the next academic year. So a massive THANK YOU to all who responded so generously. Please do keep praying for the students to be well prepared for future work and for the staff to manage the demanding work schedule.
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:8
Thank you so much to everyone who regularly supports and prays for AID.

£10,000 Emergency Appeal – 10th March 2016

First, the good news! The ICMDA’s National Institute of Health Sciences, which is training South Sudanese students to become health workers, has received pledges for 7 months of funding in 2016. However, due to technical problems, a major donor who has pledged much of this money has been unable to transfer its funding. This will happen by Easter at the latest but, in the meantime, the NIHS is in danger of not being able to pay some outstanding bills this month. Most significantly, the Institute must pay a month’s rent for the student’s accommodation imminently.

We need to raise £10,000 over the next few days to enable the students to stay where they are and keep studying. Once we make it through these few weeks, the next 7 months of funding for the Institute, is secured.

Please pray and consider giving generously to the Institute.
