A family challenge to swim the length of Lake Windermere in a team relay was successfully completed on 4th August. A wonderful sunny day with blue skies greeted the swimmers as they plunged into the cold waters at Lakeside early on the Friday morning. John Inglis-Jones did the first stretch of about 2 kilometres before his brother Giles Inglis-Jones took over for a good stretch down the central part so the lake. Angus, Jessie, Ella and Dominic ( the younger members of the team) all swam stints in the middle part of the lake cheered on by those in the support boats.
A huge thanks to all those who supported them, either practically on the day, or by giving towards the tremendous total of nearly £10,000 that was raised.
